Our friends over at Atomicdust recently launched the new Permobil USA site.
Initially, I was hired to shoot stills of the manufacturing process of Permobil’s products and I took the Sony A7sII along and decided to capture a few minutes of video as well. The client loved it and they decided to incorporate video into top level pages of their new website. I was able to travel to all three of Permobil’s USA factories and captured various aspects of the build process.
Overall, it was a great shoot. I got to meet all of the workers and chat with them about what they were doing and why. It was inspirational listening to everyone’s stories and seeing the joy their work brought them. The people I filmed knew they were building things that made a difference in someone’s life and the overt pride in their work was clearly visible. My hope is that I captured that feeling, I believe I succeeded.
Below are some screen shots from the website, but head over to http://permobilus.com/ and look for the video integrated into the site.
I also lucky enough to schedule a few extra days in Washington to visit Mount Rainier National Park and shoot some 4k video there after the production.
