James Dixson is a St. Louis based photographer and videographer with a lifelong dream of being published in National Geographic. He’s also one of St. Louis’s only FAA-certified remote pilots for commercial aerial photography.
James has traveled across the country producing work for a multitude of brands. When he’s not creating for clients, you can find him shooting for fun at the St. Louis Zoo, the river or at a National Park.
“My favorite thing to photograph is people. I look for images that tell an authentic story. Nothing is as compelling as someone getting lost in their passion, or experiencing something entirely new for the first time.”
During the zombie apocalypse you can expect to find James camping out with his family, wielding an iPod full of Zeppelin and toting around a Leica M6 with a 35mm Summicron. He’ll also probably have a Nikon F3 with a 800mm lens too, to capture zombie portraits, of course.
One of my lifetime goals is to spend summers touring National Parks in a 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter Van with my family and to be published in National Geographic.
